AQUARIUM OF THE PACIFIC. -- Luz Garcia feels the faux rain as it falls in the new Our Watersheds exhibit at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, Calif. on November 12, 2008. The exhibit opens Saturday, Nov. 15 and features a shaded outdoor area features five displays on local watersheds, including a three dimensional model of the Los Angeles and San Gabriel watersheds with various interactive features such as the option to create rain and see what happens once rain lands on our mountains and streets. Hands-on exhibits demonstrate the practical and environmentally friendly ways to live more sustainably with nature and its resources.
